N.T. Wright= Genious

N.T. Wright is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. This theologian's got it going on! I'm reading his book, Surprised by Hope, and do a lot of head shaking in amazement at his insight into scripture.

The aforementioned book is his response, essentially, to end-times theology and some works of fiction that have made the rounds in Christian book circles recently. Basically he says, because of many, many factors, theology has gotten a bit askew and instead of Heaven being a far off existence it is instead very near us and in the final resurrection Heaven will come crashing into earth in restoration. That's a very short clip. Read the book to do this doctrine justice. Please.

The above wasn't what I planned on writing, but so goes thought. I'm a bit of a meaderer. And I think I just made up a word. Awesome.

What kind of eschatology do you hold to, Jared?

That is perhaps the best spelling of "genius" I've ever seen. Awfully British of you, throwing the unnecessary "u" into the equation.

Did Weaver get you hooked on Wright?
